My battery in my original roomba had died - it would not charge any more. I was actually going to buy a new roomba when I saw this battery replacement instead. It is much heavier and denser than the original battery so I am looking for long life out of this battery. I charged it overnight when I first got it. So far it lasts long enough for the roomba to go through the longest cycle for a large room. I recommend the APS (Advanced Power System) battery - I think it will give the best life.Customer Review: It is what it is.

If you've had your Roomba for more than a year, then you probably know the battery does not last much more than 12-18 months under most circumstances. This replacement battery is the same one that the Roomba comes with, so expect it to last no more or no less than the original one. If your battery is weak and on its way out, there's no alternative other than forking over the $45 for this battery. It will make your Roomba run as long as new, but expect to replace it again in the future.Customer Review: SUCH A DEAL!

iRobot 4905 Battery
Ordered a replacement battery for our Roomba robotic floor cleaner and was advised, by the manufacturer, that they are "on back order." Did a little surfin and low-and-behold, I found a vendor offering the same battery FOR LESS $$$. Placed the order and the battery arrived very promptly. Boy, I'm glad the manufacturer was out of stock on this item.

This is a good source for these batteries-I guess. It did not fit an earlier (2008) Roomba 550 model. Have not used it yet-will update.

I can't complain about the service-It was prompt, well-packed and arrived in good shape. I got one use out of it!! Perhaps it is the Vacuum, which had lain dormant for awhile after the original battery died, and I don't think the Roomba is exactly built to last, but to be traded in on a newer model. Maybe it's a connection problem. Either way, I feel like I'm out the money which would have been better spent elsewhere. I would LOVE a refund even though it was used!!
