Customer Review: Same as what the manufacturer sells but at less than half the price!

When my 18 month old Roomba vacuum started to falter and not perform as well as it had originally, I first consulted the manufacturer's Web site for answers. When the company's troubleshooting FAQs didn't bring about improvement, I corresponded directly with one of their customer service representatives. While that person was very helpful, it quickly became evident that I needed a new battery. On the manufacturer's Web site, a new battery sells for more than twice the amount that Amazon sells the same battery for. At first, I was hesitant, thinking there was no way we could be talking about the same product, but, after reading other customers' reviews and comments, I felt confident enough to "risk" saving over $50.00. I'm happy to report that the new battery is identical to the old one, was delivered in brand new condition, and seems to be working perfectly (I'm vacuuming as I'm typing this review right now). If this battery lasts as long as (or longer than) the original battery, I will gladly raise my "star rating" from four to five.Customer Review: battery destroyed my Roombas

I purchased this battery to replace the battery in one of my Roomba 560 robots (I have 2). First thing I noticed when I tried to charge the battery was a charging error 2 on the Roomba. I then thought I'd try the new battery in my newer Roomba 560 (who's original battery was still OK). Same Error 2.
Now is when things get really bad. When I put the original iRobot good battery back into the Roomba, I get charging error 3, and the fully charged battery will not work. The Roomba is now toast. Same with the other Roomba.
When I looked a little closer at the batteries, the new battery had the + and - poles reversed from the iRobot original battery. Only thing I can think happened is that the new battery shorted out the entire Roomba charging system, which then shorted out the original good iRobot battery when I put it back in the Roomba.
Clost to $1000 worth of Roomba 560s fried by this battery. Needless to say, I don't recommend this battery.

I ordered this battery to give my Roomba new life. After ordering the unit refurbished, it never seemed to have the 'oomph' of a new one. I mean, it barely cleaned two rooms.
After checking on iRobot's website for the correct model battery and MSRP, I decided to shop around for the best price. That's when I stumbled across this battery at almost half of the price of iRobot. After carefully reading the reviews and seeing people get upset about it being generic, I decided to take a chance. It was the best chance I took at renewing my Roomba's life!
This battery runs for almost an hour-and-a-half, which allows the Roomba to clean the living room, dining room, kitchen, and family room all in one swoop. This is approximately 750 square feet with lots of obstacles!
All-in-all it's a great battery and would purchase it again in a heart beat! It's been in the Roomba for almost a month now and has ran every day since.

I initially thought this would be a good deal cost wise. I got notification that it was being shipped. A few days later I tried to check the tracking number but it would not work. After Iweek I got notice that they were crediting my visa for the return of the parcel. There was no explanation why it was returned. I emailed and was told it had an invalid address so was returned. I checked my order and the address was correct so I told them to send it back as I still wanted it and I get parcels all the time at that address. Got another email telling me to call them. When I called and explained that the address was valid and that I still wanted it I was told that because they had already credited my account I would have to reorder it. Checked my Visa today and they only credited me for the item not the shipping. So no I will not be reordering this or anything else! I will be calling again to get my shipping charges back.Customer Review: Works great!

I bought this item without too much checking around. In comparison with iRobot's battery, it is a significant savings. I put in into a 510 model and it works immediately. I did not even have to charge it (it is kind of pre-charged). I ran the 510 for about 45 minutes and the light turned to orange, indicating maybe 50% power left in the battery.
It took longer to charge it up fully, when compared to the original iRobot battery when it was new(maybe it is due to the fact that this was the first time I charged the batter.) It seems to last longer than the original battery, maybe that is why it takes longer to charge.
The replacement was easy, four small phillip screws, and battery comes out easily. It took me about 10 minutes to change the battery. (But it took a long longer to clean up the 510.)
Highly recommended.
