Customer Review: DO NOT BUY FROM BATTERY SUPERSTORE

Received this item from Battery Superstore July 2009. When I noticed recently that the battery was no longer holding a charge (charge it overnight, charged indicator is green, but in < 10 minutes of runtime, it's red/dead.) I contacted Battery Superstore to inquire about a replacement, since from shipping receipt time to time of failure, I have been using the product about 9 months. They told me there is only a 6 month warranty, and offered a 12% discount on a new purchase. However, I am reluctant to order a replacement from the same company that provided me an obviously inferior battery and will not replace it when it soon fails. I have ordered a new battery from the current vendor listed here (Allergy Be Gone) so hopefully that one will work better, or at least that company may stand behind the products they sell.Customer Review: Works like new!

Our roomba lasted almost exactly two years. Last month we got the tune of death with the flashing light. I cleaned the dickens out of it, reset the battery, re charged it, etc etc. Still it wouldn't operated longer than a few seconds. I researched both the irobot site and the reviews here and elsewhere and finally bought this battery. An irobot replacement was close to $80. This one was less than half.
I check the terminals prior to putting it in. This battery fit like a glove. It had enough charge to allow me to reset the roomba and then charge overnight.
Now the little guy is running wild like before. We LOVE how the roomba gets the hardwood floors so clean feeling. Way better than sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
Hopefully this will last a couple of years too.

We are big fans of the iRobot products. We live in a small house with kids running in and out all the time. Grass and dirt are not strangers to our floors. We have two Roomba 560s. One vacuums in the morning, and the other in the afternoon, 7 days a week. Because of the frequency of our use, these poor units get quite a work out by the end of the year. They are certainly not maintenance free, but that's a small price for not having to sweep every few hours. A good battery is the key to our success. This battery is a little higher current than the stock unit, therefore it runs a longer cycle. The price is also quite a bit lower than the factory batteries. We have been using this battery for about 2 months now and the run time is about 1.5 hours. More than adequate for cleaning the 1200ft^2 house.Customer Review: More Value For Less

We had our Roomba for 2 years and it became less powerful after one year.
The new battery is more powerful than the original roomba battery when it was new.
We have a 2 bedroom apartment (3 1/2 rooms + big kitchen) and the original battery lasted only for 2 rooms and a kitchen, then would die in a middle of 3rd room.
The new battery lasts for the whole apartment and still has some juice left in it.
We used the new battery for a few weeks only, so I can't tell how it will perform after a year of use, but costing almost 3 times less than roomba replacement battery it's the best value for your money.
This battery was purchased from Allergy be gone at Amazon.

I needed new battery for my Romba. Went to iRobot website and saw it for $89 dollars. Came to Amazon and found one for $29. No brainer.
I was reading some reviews, just to check if people have had explosions or things like that and found someone writing that it was not an "original" iRobot battery.
You might be surprised, but there is no such thing as "original iRobot battery"
iRobot is an electronic manufactory, they do not manufacture batteries. They by it from someone else, probably different companies, stamp their name on it and make a huge profit.
Next time, take your chance...even if is last shorter, you will still be saving money. And batteries do have a life time.
