I was concerned with the number of reviews that indicated that they received a non "i-Robot" battery when they ordered this product. It seems to me that the seller is an important indicator of whether you get an authentic battery or a generic version. I ordered from GoVacuum and received an authentic iRobot battery that has met all of my expectations. It was easy to install, charged right up and has worked beautifully ever since.Customer Review: Nice to have my Roomba working again

This is exactly the same battery that iRobot sells on its website, only it costs less through Amazon and Battery Superstore. I hope it lasts longer than my original battery. My original had a dead cell after about 1.5 years. So far the new battery holds a charge for well over 2 hours of cleaning in my Roomba 500 Series.
This order took a long time to ship out, I ordered it on 3/1 and received it on 3/19.

I called I Robot because this particular battery has I Robot's part # 80501. They said it comes from a different warehouse , but then the girl came back and said "yes" it's the same as the one we sell. The I robot battery is almost twice as much. I bought 2 for 2 different 500 series and so far so good after initial 16 hour charge. We'll see. Batteries can be fickle things. also visit I robots site on battery care.Customer Review: It never stops cleaning! Buy from Amazon.

I bought my replacement through amazon. I know this product has bad reviews but that's because some of the sellers are no good. Buy this through amazon and you'll get the OEM battery replacement. It works more than great. My Roomba runs longer than it ever did before even though it's the same battery. The robot cleaned at least 6 rooms before finally calling it a day. Now if only my roomba could run quieter.Customer Review: It is an actual functioning battery!

I didn't know what to expect when I opened the package but when I got the peculiar looking yellow object out of the box it looked just like a device that goes into my Roomba......so I put it in as it wasn't functioning properly as its battery was aged. I put the thing on its charging stand, waited a while.......and the Roomba worked like it used to. So, it was a battery........and it works!
