This vacuum picks up great! But I had to watch because it got itself caught under some furniture and it seems to go in the same spot over and over. I had to pick it up and put it in an area that it had not touched after 15 minutes. If it is in a bedroom with the door closed than it does a great job but in a living room dining room combo is when it doesnt get EVERYWHERE. I would buy this for myself or someone else again but buy the docking station that goes with it.Customer Review: LOVE the Roomba 400

I love this thing! It goes places I can't reach anymore (due to arthritis). I turn it loose in the bedroom and close the door. It cleans under the bed where I have a hard time reaching. And it does a GREAT job. Can't believe how much stuff it picks up (including cat hair). I let it run around the other rooms also, including the kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms which all have vinyl. I might even purchase a 2nd one! Plus my cats love it!!

I purchased the Roomba for my small appartment where I stay during the week while working. This little machine is great! I could have spent less on a standard vacuum, but the likelihood that I'd drag it out more than once or twice a year is slim. The Roomba however I just turn on and forget it. When I come back to the place all I do is dump the collecter into the trash and plug the vacuum back in to charge.Customer Review: Works As advertised!

Pretty good machine. Got it for a good price and since have bought the dock and virtual walls. Please remember this is the basic model so you just get enough to get the roomba going and thats it. But even after I vacuum, it seems to always find something and I run it when I leave for work so it does its job when I'm gone. I now find myself vacuuming less and not worring if my floors are clean!Customer Review: Beware of the battery...

Exactly a year after I bought it, the battery died. Now it won't hold a charge at all.
You would think that the battery would have degraded slowly? Apparently not. It's as
if iRobot had a timer inside, which killed the battery after exactly 1 year.
I hate it when manufacturers do that. Let the batteries run their due course.
What a waste of resources!
