I love it. You have to direct it once in a while, but I have large rooms with wood floors. I am now doing other things while this little dear is chasing dust balls. I am sure some of the negative is true, but it is exactly what is advertised. It is not a brain surgeon; so sometimes it gets hung up in circles. I redirect and we are on our way. No longer have crunchy hallways or kitchen, with young adults tramping through all the time. Definitely recommend if you can afford. What a great thing to have a machine do one's work. I'm very happy overall. However, there seem to be spots where the Roomba gets stuck and can't continue, in my case because of the edge of a carpet near a wall or possibly because of a raised doorsill next to a 1.5-inch dropoff. I guess I'll put one of the barrier beam devices to prevent the Roomba from going to the spots that make it stop. It also won't go down the 1.5-inch dropoffs (unless perhaps I covered the dropoff sensors), so it can't do my whole apartment at once.Customer Review: Our roomba experience

We bought our first roomba about a year ago and loved it! Unfortunately, it started always leaning to left, we took it to the store and they said Irobot's policy was just to give us a new one. Our new one is great, too! We really love Irobot, and the roomba, so much that we bought a Scooba. We've never had a problem with it leaving scratches anywhere, or scuffing anything, on occasion, it will get stuck, though. All in all, I LOVE our roomba, I feel like I've gotten much more done during the day when I run it!Customer Review: Happy robot

I love our little Roomba! We've not had it long but the "trilobite" as my husband calls it has done a great job keeping our loft clean and polishing off all the dustballs and lint and crumbs that no longer have carpeting to hide in, and saved us the drudgery of manual vacuuming. We only need to zip up the corners and the too-low-for-Roomba crannies with the handheld vacuum and it's all gone. Definitely a good purchase, and I hope it keeps going for a goodish while.Customer Review: DUD for the price

Our Roomba (loving called Scooter) worked really well for about 6 months. So we told everyone how wonderful this little vaccuum was and at least 7 of our family members bought one. Now none of those work. At the most they have lasted a year. For the price we paid for this we expected it to last much longer than it did. The repair costs are too high also. I guess we are going to have to stick to the old fashion vaccum.
