Tools and Hardware Reviews of Time Mist Sensor Flush Automatic Sensor Tank Toilet Flushing SystemCustomer Review: How not to save water - Get one of these. Summary: 1 Stars
This might be a good idea, but getting it to work as it should, might be harder than you think. Installation may require you remove all your current (old parts) and replace with new ultra thin/small parts. The standard equipment in "One piece" toilets doesn't allow installation. Once all the parts were replace with new thin parts, the installation was quite easy. Next comes adjusting the sensor for proper range. (lots a luck) You might even need to replace the batteries you put in to begin with, because you might run them down trying to get the sensor to trigger at the desired range. The first one (I purchased 2) only took a week getting it to trigger at the desired range. The second one (learning from the first) only took 5 days and two sets of batteries. It seemed to trigger at the desired distance but would flush continually for 15 to 20 minutes. Even when I removed the trigger device it would run and run and run. The only way to stop it was remove the batteries. Checked to assure no moisture was setting it off. I put the batteries back in. All seemed fine. The in the middle of the night (fairly sure I didn't sleep walk) the toilet flushed and flushed and flushed by it's self. Would I buy this item again? If I had known the problems I would have ... Still yes. While expensive, I like technical stuff plus the major advantage when it works, is you reduce the chances of passing/getting germs passed by touching the handle. Yes I know, you're supposed to was your hands, but you have to touch the faucet and put germs and get some in the process. So you probably already guessed it, the faucet is touch free as well. For saving water, you still use just as much as you always did. But when it decides its going to run without you ... You just might use more than you expect.
Customer Review: Read the last sentence! Summary: 2 Stars
In the advertisement the last sentence states "there will be a restocking fee." The reason that this statement mostlikely appears in their advertisement is because they know that it will be returned. I purchased TWO units at the same time; and neither unit worked appropriately. Even after every troubleshooting attempt was made....for both units....the product does not work appropriately. What I mean by appropriately is: Yes, this unit is very easy to assemble, the directions are clear cut and very easy, BUT the ir (infrared eye) within the handle has a mind of it's own. It may flush, but NOT after use without manually flushing the unit....Although, it flushes whenever it feels like it,... such as, in the middle of the night when everybody is asleep, and nobody is around. It's like having an entity in the house. Needless to say, both of these units will be returned.....The company undoubtedly has had this problem with previous purchased units for them to add the disclaimer of a "restocking fee." These units do not work appropriately, and the company should recall all of them, and repair the problems. Please purchase with caution.
God bless!
Customer Review: Amazing Summary: 4 Stars
June 5, 2009: This is by far one of the greatest products to come home! Just like the commercial ones you see in the airports only instead of a hole in the wall it looks like an actual flush handle. The great thing about this product is that you still can flush by pressing down the handle for those needed courtesy flushes. The sensor is adjustable so that you can move the sensor to look more at the user or look away. That way, you don't walk by it and it flushes. Everything that you need is included, minus "C" batteries, all you need is a standard toilet. They claim to flush 23,000 times on the 4 "C" batteries you need before changing, We'll have to see.
Oh, and don't worry about water getting in, its all sealed with rubber seals.
UPDATE: MARCH 4, 2010
Same batteries and still flushing!
UPDATE: Match 22, 2011

Customer Review: Works perfectly, now my cats flush the toilet! Summary: 5 Stars
I have cats that are trained to use the human toilet. The problem was they did not flush. I found this gizmo, installed it, calibrated it to detect the cats and now the toilet flushes when they jump off. I had to fool around a little bit to adjust it so they didn't set it off by walking by, but that was easy and now everything is great!
Updated July 8, 2010:
Calibration is easy, it's all in the manual. Just need a little patience and a lot of water for some trial and error.
Human users are not as easy to train, they slam the thing down with the normal amount of pressure that you need to work a mechanical flusher, not the light touch this electronic switch requires for manual operation. One product improvement would be to mount it somewhere else on the toilet, not on the flush handle. Still working well 18 months later. I still haven't changed the batteries!
Customer Review: Using this for my toilet trained cat Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this auto flusher so I wouldn't have to flush the toilet for my toilet trained cat. It was easy to install, but a little tricky to adjust so it would work for a cat, but it does! I wish the instructions were a little more clear on how to make adjustments, but I was able to figure it out. All in all it works great for what I purchased it for, which I know is not what the product was designed for. I will be purchasing another one of these for my second bathroom for the cat shortly.
This product will allow me to take a vacation and not have to have someone visit my house twice a day to flush the toilet for the cat. I'm very pleased with it!
