After an easy although frustrating install, the unit worked and registered the fingerprints with some minor problems. As we continued to use it, the recognition became worse over time and we had to rely on the awkward keypad to enter the premises. For several months, we did not even bother to use the digital recognition until 10 days ago. I could not even read or register anything and I called their customer support.
Spoke with Angela who was first class support and very helpful. After trying a few tricks in the books, she immediately told me that I would need to send back the unit under warranty and they would fix it. Since I needed the lock for the door, she made sure that I would be receiving a replacement unit before I had to send the one no longer working as expected.
Within 48 hours, I had the new door lock, installed it quickly, and registered the fingerprints very fast. This unit must be what they had in mind when they designed it. It is night and day with the previous one and it recognizes the fingerprint in less than one second every time.
If you have difficulties with your lock, do not hesitate iTouchless Bio-Matic Fingerprint Door Lock For Left Hand Door, Silverto call them, they seems to be very customer friendly, something that we cannot say for every vendor out there. Although I cannot comment on the reliability of this new unit over time, I certainly can give a five star for the customer service I received and the replacement unit.

I bought this for my basement office to keep the kids out, and it's been perfect. Setup and install were a breeze, I entered several of my prints and my wife's, recognition is nearly perfect (you do need to put your finger in the right place to ensure a full scan, of course). Very cool product, highly recommend it. In fact I'm getting two more deadbolt versions from iTouchless for my outside doors now.Customer Review: Stop working after a month
