A friend sent me this link for a good laugh. Well... I had my laugh then I saw a review for the product. So I must go forth and review the product as well, but more from a "who in their right mind would ever buy such a thing" perspective. Come on people!!!
At first I started thinking, well if the price was cheaper... like maybe $2.50... but then no... that wouldn't do it. Why you ask? You must now waste money and time on batteries to run it. I guess you could probably get a power cord, but I can't imagine that this type of device will produce an ROI much over .03 cents beyond the holder for the towels itself.
Now, what if the power goes out completly... like a thunder storm or a tornado rips the house apart. And after the house thrashing you need to clean up. Ah, but hark, you can not. And why is that... you have no power to dispense a clean towel. I am not even going get into the medical implicaitons of this horrfiic detail. Poor junior comes in with a scrape from his bike fall in the park. And what does mommy say... "run down the convieant store son and get some AA batteries so I can dispense a clean towel and take care of your cut." Enough said... get the point.
This doesn't appear ot be safe product. Save your house, electricity, and get a towel dispenser that works right. Take the $55 you saved by follwoing my advice and spend it all on packing peanuts or something else that will give as much more entertainment and use then this ultimate waste of space.

At first, I didn't think it would be necessary to have a automatic dispenser at home. Now that I have been using it for a week. I and my kids love it. It is great when I'm cooking so that my dirty hands will only touch the dispensed sheet. The rotating speed of the dispenser is about 3 seconds per sheet. So I don't feel I have to wait for a towel when I need one. The dispenser actually finds the perforation lines on the towel and graps the towel roll to stop unraveling. I can get one sheet, two sheets precisely. I will buy and test the 1/2 sheet paper towel later this week. The sensor is located in the middle of the dispenser. I like the feature that the sensor range is adjustable. So I can move the dispenser from my tight kitchen to living room when I have guests. Just make sure you check the correct size paper towel roll. Not all paper towel would work with the system. Customer service told me 80% paper towel size on the market can fit the dispenser.
I would recommend this dispenser.

Things that are bad about this product:
1. It's hard to tear the towels. It requires you to tear the towels from bottom up...very awkward...especially if you have dishes and plates on the table.
2. The gripper is not strong enough resulting in you pulling out more towels and snagging the towels in the gripper. You then have to manually fix it. This happens alot.
3. Takes a long time for a sheet to come out. First, the unit retracts the paper, then it slides it out out sheet. Often, it doesn't measure it right and you have to manually fix it. Defeats the purpose of this unit which is to save you work.
4. The hand sensor is wacky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I end up feeling foolishing waving my hand all over the places trying to get it to see me.
Overall, this is a waste of money and time. I'm definitely sending this one back.

I was really excited to find this product on the web so I bought one with the power adapter. As soon as the item arrived, though, the disappointment started. It always dispensed too much towel no matter it was set to half or full size. For the first sheet it went beyond for about an inch, and an additional inch for each sheet thereafter and quickly became unusable. I contacted the tech support but they didn't know how to tune/fix it so I returned the item for an exchange. The new replacement came after about 2 weeks and did EXAXTLY the same. I'm confused to see some reviewers actually "enjoyed" the thing ... maybe some units actually dispense the towel accurately? For me it has been a total waste of time and I'm returning this one for a refund.Customer Review: bad product.

THE ITOUCHLESS TOWEL-MATIC AUTOMATIC SENSOR PAPER TOWEL DISPENSOR,IS REAL NOT WORTH THE MONEY,OR THE TIME TO USE.WE BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT ,THINKING THIS WOULD SOLVE OUR PROBLEM WITH THE NOTION OF HAVE THE PAPER TOWEL BEEN DISPENS,ON DEMAND .MY WIFE WOULD STAND WAVEING HER HAND,FIRST SLOWLY ,THEN SLIGHTLY FASTER NO PAPER TOWEL DISPENSING.SHE GOT SO FED-UP ,THEN SHE START TO COMPLAIN.AND OH!!!! WE USED NEW BATTERIES(THE SILVER BATTERIES WITH THE LETTER (E)ON IT.)AND IT DID NOT IMPROVE THIS PRODUCTS PERFORMANCE.I SAY TO THE MANUFACTOR,HAVE THE MOMS AND WIVES AND ALSO THE KIDS TRY,TEST AND APPROVE THIS PRODUCT BEFORE CONTINUOS SALE....THX.E.BROWN..MA.
