I had the same experience as the previous reviewer. I bought this unit to replace the fan assembly in my NuTone bathroom fan. It installed easily, but this morning it turned itself off after about 10-15 minutes. I left the wall switch in the "on" position to see what would happen, but after 10 minutes nothing changed. I then flipped the wall switch off, waited about 15 minutes before trying again, and this time the fan turned on.
I don't know the cause of the unit shutting off, but obviously the original fan didn't do this so this unit is not a good replacement. Stay away from it.
