Excellent fit for plastic grocery bags with bag loops fitting securely over can handles. (I don't understand some reviewer complaints about the size of the can - it is designed to fit bags that are a certain size.) The can is not water-tight. I noticed small narrow slots around the perimeter of the black plastic bottom. I decided to do a little test to make sure they weren't just there because of some manufacturing process. I held the can over a sink and poured in a little water - it immediately poured out through the slots. You wouldn't want to use this can for very wet garbage - or you could have a mess!Customer Review: Looking all over for a can that'd fit a certain spot

I have a spot in my desk that used to house a CPU before I got a Mac. The Mac doesn't fit, so I have had a useless hole in my desk for forever. I got tired of kicking over the regular trash can, so I decided to find something that would fit that spot. The simplehuman can fits well and looks good. I only use it for paper, but if I wanted a liner, commercial liners will fit it. Have had simplehuman cans in my bathroom for four years and they are very nice. THey hold up well and I'm impressed with the company's quality and engineering!

I've always liked using supermarket bags for recycling and garbage, and this is the perfect bin for doing so. Size is just right to get bags full, but not too full to tie closed. Inside is smooth, so removing packed bags is easy. Handles hold bags in place just right - bag space isn't wasted, and bag edges don't fall inside bin. Bin is well-constructed - seems solid and unlikely to break, and has maintained shape and appearance with daily use over several months. Bottom is plastic, so leaks would be contained and easily cleaned up.Customer Review: Never Thought I'd Love a Trashcan!

Never thought I'd be so happy with a trashcan, (especially one that costs this much!), but this was actually my second purchase of the same one, since I like the first one so much. It fits perfectly in the slim space between my nightstand and bed and doesn't look too cheap to have out in our bedroom. The second one is in the bathroom and fits great between the toilet and the wall. The design is genius--it perfectly fits a plastic grocery bag and holds it open. Also, it is lined with plastic inside so it is easy to clean.Customer Review: Trashed!

I do a lot of home cooking. Lot's of wet Garbage. When I finished with my prep or with scraps from dinner I can bag it up and throw it out without the use of a bigger trash bag. It saves money. I just use the big garbage can on the porch to receive my daily offerings. Less stink, And a great use for all those shopping bags. Paper,metal,glass all recycled and now this small garbage can helps keep my refuse organized and trashed. Now if only had a lid.......
